Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Computer Science Teacher to join our team. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative IT lessons to students of varying ages and abilities. You will create lesson plans and supplemental materials that teach the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching Computer Science: Deliver engaging and comprehensive computer science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Implementing Differentiated Teaching Strategies: Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
  3. Utilizing Innovative Teaching Methods: Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make computer science relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Assessing Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Teaching Certification: Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS: PGCE/QTS/QTLS qualification.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience teaching Computer Science or Business Studies at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Curriculum: Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organisational and Time-Management Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills.
