Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Greenwich.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Key stage 1 curriculum and promoting academic excellence while fostering a supportive pastoral environment.

About the Role
  • As a Year 4 teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.

Responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry to enhance pupils' problem-solving skills.
  2. Helping children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories, promoting creativity and self-expression.
  3. Keeping track of children's progress and reporting back to parents, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Greenwich via public transport.
