About the Role
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Decontamination Technician to join our team on a bank basis. As a Decontamination Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of decontamination and reprocessing of medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day reprocessing of equipment required for clinical use.
- Follow demonstrated training and work instructions to ensure production is to a high standard.
- Work to deadlines and maintain a quality service to patients and customers.
- Stand for long periods of time and work in all areas of the department, including distribution of stock.
Requirements
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience of effective communication skills when dealing with staff and users/customers.
- Ability to work to deadlines, follow routine and procedures, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, as a team worker, and willingness to continue personal development.
- Able to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
