Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Transportation Engineer to join our Consultancy Services team as a Traffic Signal Design specialist.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Engineer with a strong background in traffic signal design fundamentals, UK standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience using traffic engineering software including AutoCAD, KeySignals and modeling software such as LinSig or Transyt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality traffic engineering projects across the UK in accordance with current national/local standards, guidance and best practice.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with traffic engineering projects.
  • Travel to site visits and customer meetings with overnight stays where necessary.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications.
Requirements
  • A degree level qualification in engineering or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in traffic signal design, preferably with UK standards and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including 26 days holiday, a generous pension scheme and flexible working policy.
