Job Purpose:

To lead the delivery of a high-quality catering service in a school setting, ensuring the efficient and effective provision of meals to students. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and maintain accurate records.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the preparation and delivery of meals, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise and train catering staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor and control kitchen operations, including inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the school administration to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a catering management role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality management principles, with experience in implementing and maintaining systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
