Job Description

The Director of Legal Affairs will play a critical role in shaping the legal framework for Curve's operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and mitigating potential risks. As a senior member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert legal advice and guidance to support strategic initiatives and business growth;
  • Developing and implementing effective legal strategies to safeguard the interests of Curve while aligning with business objectives;
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of legal considerations into product development and commercial activities;
  • Leveraging external counsel relationships to access specialized expertise and stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes;
Requirements

To succeed as the Director of Legal Affairs at Curve, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of corporate law, including fundraisings and corporate transactions, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance (ideally within the payments space), and intellectual property matters;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders, present complex legal matters clearly, and lead a high-performing legal team;
  • The ability to think strategically, stay up-to-date with industry developments, and proactively address potential legal issues;
