Head of History Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated History Teacher to join our established History department as Head of History. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students, as well as leading the History department and contributing to the development of the curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of teaching and leadership experience, as well as a degree in History or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach History to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students
  • Lead the History department and contribute to the development of the curriculum
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote academic achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies
Requirements
  • Degree in History or a related field
  • PGCE/QTS
  • Experience of teaching History to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students
  • Leadership experience, preferably in a school setting
