Role Overview:As a Financial Operations Assistant, you will be a crucial part of the finance team, supporting the business as it continues its upward trajectory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling a variety of tasks, including working across both sides of the ledger and assisting with general administration. If you enjoy a hands-on role and want to be part of a business that's always moving forward, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:- Purchase Ledger: Processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payments.
- Sales Ledger: Raising invoices, posting receipts, and following up on outstanding payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- General Administration: Supporting the finance team with filing, data entry, and other admin duties.
- Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting.
- Previous experience in a similar Financial Operations Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, or Finance Administrator role.
- Confidence working across both purchase and sales ledgers.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Willingness to take on general admin tasks as part of the role.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel and accounting software.
- A positive and flexible attitude, with a desire to support the team.
£25,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
