Certain Advantage is a world-class defence organisation based in the UK, currently seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer / Architect to join our team on a 12-month contract. The hourly rate for this position is £60ph.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for missiles and launcher systems. This will involve specifying system electrical requirements, defining interface characteristics between subsystems, and creating power architectures. Additionally, the candidate will need to support test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks and system proving/qualification.

Experience with defence standards and industry specifications is essential for this role. A degree-level qualification in a related subject is also required. In addition to technical skills, the candidate must be able to write clear and concise reports and attend design reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for missiles and launcher systems
  • Specify system electrical requirements and define interface characteristics
  • Create power architectures and support test and fault-finding activities
  • Review and author reports, guidelines, and processes
  • Attend design reviews and provide technical expertise
