IT Helpdesk Support

Principal IT is seeking an experienced Technical IT Support Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for IT Service within the business, providing technical support and maintenance across various locations in the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rota, including weekends and out-of-hours shifts.
  2. Factory and Office Support: Provide technical assistance both within the factory and office environments.
  3. Shift Rota and Coverage: Collaborate with the support team to maintain a shift rota and provide coverage during agreed hours and beyond.
  4. Fault Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to printers, sticker machines, and other equipment.
  5. Expertise in IT Products: Possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Virtualisation, and Exchange/Office 365.

This role requires working a varied shift pattern, with early starts from 06:00 and late finishes at 17:30. This allows for convenient scheduling around rush hour traffic.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
