About the Role


The Finance Manager is a key position within The Openwork Partnership, supporting the finance function in the completion of month-end reporting, regulatory reporting, and ensuring continuous improvement in the control environment while supporting the year-end audit.


This role involves managing the month-end process across the team, ownership of key processes such as payroll, cash control, and the production of the month-end report.


Additionally, the Finance Manager will be responsible for completing FCA regulatory reporting advice submissions and overseeing investment firms.


They will maintain the integrity and accuracy of the balance sheet, prepare and review monthly reconciliations, and challenge and understand complaints provisions to report on this while ensuring it meets accounting standards.


The successful candidate will identify key processes and controls in Finance, work with relevant teams to remedy and improve process and control deficiencies, and maintain and own the Finance Function Manual and Finance Operating Procedures.


This role also involves operational management of the Treasury function and banking systems, oversight and support of the cash forecast model with ongoing development, ownership of the Finance system, identifying improvements for controls, managing upgrades, and new reporting requirements.


Furthermore, the Finance Manager will attend the Debt committee, providing updates on the provision and analysis of the movement, support the year-end audit, and be responsible for delivering own and direct reports' audit requests.


About You


To succeed in this role, you will need to be a qualified or part-qualified accountant or have substantial, relevant experience across finance.


You will also need experience of working in a financial accounting role within a large organisation, involvement in delivering month-end reporting, providing analysis and insight of the results, and be deadline and task-orientated.


Strong communication skills at all levels are essential, and knowledge of Financial Services would be advantageous.
