We are seeking a highly skilled Video Production Lead to oversee the production of short-form digital content for a new campaign focused on the Ukraine war. Based in London, you will work closely with our Director of Content and a small production team to devise, script, produce, and edit a series of short films simultaneously.

As the production lead, you will be responsible for scheduling and ensuring that all production milestones are met, and all assets are delivered on time. You will work closely with our accounts team, digital team, and project management teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

The ideal candidate will have a first-hand understanding of digital content and be resourceful, curious, and brimming with ideas. You will need to be organized, efficient, positive, and have a can-do attitude to meeting deadlines.

We are looking for someone who combines a journalistic sensibility with an understanding of how to create compelling, entertaining, and must-watch content. You will have significant experience in editing and be great at writing clear, attention-grabbing scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our partners to devise content ideas in line with their needs
  • Write engaging scripts that convey complex information in a simple and clear manner
  • Suggest ideas for graphics
  • Commission filmmakers in each country and oversee them remotely
  • Take ownership of schedules for the project
  • Ensure assets are delivered to a high enough quality and on time
  • Edit produce a number of short videos simultaneously
  • Ensure all edit scripts and other paperwork are kept up to date

Requirements:

  • Understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms
  • Several edit producer credits
  • Experience of current affairs/news/features/other journalistic production
  • Extensive experience of scripting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Fantastic and meticulous attention to detail
  • Positive and flexible 'can-do' attitude and willingness to solve problems
  • Ability to get on well with the team
  • Understanding of short-form social video

We would also like to see experience of producing video content for YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, as well as cutting films in foreign languages.
