Senior Commissioning Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning and Contract Officer to join our Public Health Commissioning Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for commissioning and contract managing a number of medium-high risk/value contracts to ensure performance is achieved.
Main Responsibilities- Collate performance information through establishing and managing routine monitoring processes, including regular meetings with providers.
- Identify performance issues, agree performance improvement plans, and use knowledge of performance levers within contracts to improve performance.
- Support the identification and delivery of substantial efficiencies from established contracts and ensure future contracting includes financial KPIs to maximise value, alongside improvements in outcomes for service users.
- Develop outcome-based contract performance measures focused on service user experiences, service quality, and financial performance.
- Work effectively with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective contract management is achieved.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for an individual with excellent relationship management and communication skills, experience in commissioning and contracts, and a strong understanding of how outcomes and impacts can be agreed and achieved through commissioning and procurement processes.
