About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Run Plant Engineer to join our team at Victrex Manufacturing Ltd. As a key member of our powder manufacturing team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Manufacturing Leader in delivering the production plan, identifying and managing risks to ensure targets are met.
  • Act as a technical expert for the operational area, including process assets, standard operating procedures, and operating systems.
  • Drive SHE performance, coaching and influencing shift teams to achieve the value stream SHE strategy and objectives.
  • Identify deviations and triage for resolution through root cause analysis (RCA), including Accident/Incident Management (AIMS) Events and corrective action reports (CARs).
  • Support the Manufacturing Leader in driving efficiencies in business-as-usual operations and identifying continuous improvement opportunities in the Victrex Management System (VMS).
  • Own OEE data and create mechanisms for operator engagement to ensure accurate data collection, detailed analysis, and resolution.
  • Undertake technical evaluation within the production environment for all management of change submissions.
  • Coach shift teams on all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, costs, and performance.
  • Support the Manufacturing Leader with customer complaints investigations.
About You

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and teamwork skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous.

Our ideal candidate will have proven knowledge of process optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies, as well as familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations. A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is essential for this role.
