Job Overview

Risk Advisory Project Leaders play a vital role in guiding our clients through the complexities of SOX regulations. They oversee internal controls-focused projects and mentor team members to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise to lead multiple concurrent SOX projects across various stages, from new implementations to recurring projects with limited scope.
  • Exercise independence in executing projects with minimal supervision, demonstrating exceptional technical skills.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and CFGI leadership, ensuring seamless communication and project progress.

Project Management:

  • Effectively schedule and manage teams or individuals with varying skill levels based on project needs and scope.
  • Evaluate workload and prioritize tasks to meet project milestones, delivering results on-time and within budget.
  • Closely monitor project budgets, adjusting assumptions as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Communicate project status regularly to stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout the process.

Tech Expertise:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in implementing SOX for newly public companies, including control design, implementation, and remediation of gaps and deficiencies.
  • Possess expertise in drafting and reviewing control design language, flowcharts, narratives, IPE, and system scoping.
  • Show working knowledge of IT General Controls, SEC guidance, PCAOB, and AICPA audit standards.
  • Identify opportunities for professional growth and strategically allocate resources accordingly.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial audit, risk advisory, or technical accounting, with at least 6 years at a Big Four or large national firm.
  • An undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited university.
  • CPA and/or MBA certification is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple requests.
  • Exhibit exceptional virtual and in-person executive presence.
  • Understand the unique pressures of client service and adapt to unpredictable working hours to meet project deadlines and client requests.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
