About The Role

M Group Services is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Colchester. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for providing support to both delivery management and on-site delivery teams.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the delivery team to ensure that operations are carried out to control costs, maximise value, minimise future liabilities and maintain the required standard.

You will be responsible for assisting the programme area Estimating team to ensure robust estimates align to scope and make allowance for risks and opportunities. You will work closely with the Procurement team, Construction team and Project team in preparing Subcontracts and procurement strategies and ensuring they reflect agreed scope.

You will produce accurate live forecasting, considering the programme and reporting in accordance with the respective work breakdown structure / cost breakdown structure.

You will be responsible for ensuring actual costs are monitored and assessed. You will provide reports on actual costs vs. estimate and identifying underlying reasons for any variance & resolutions, highlight, challenge and resolve variance to latest plans.

You will ensure that all project team members (including site staff) understand the contractual arrangements, in order to satisfy Client & Partner organisation requirements. You will also ensure that proper records are kept & maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.

You will need to liaise with the Project team to ensure any Contractual notifications required are issued in accordance with the Contract.

Key Responsibilities
