Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a full range of mortuary activities, including the admission, identification, and safe storage of deceased bodies for post-mortem examination. You will work closely with the Mortuary Manager to ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with service procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Work between all mortuaries in the network as requested by senior staff.
  • Carry out routine work in all sections of the Mortuary as required by the mortuary manager and senior mortuary technologists.
  • Assist Consultant Pathologists in post-mortem work, including preparation, examination, re-construction, and disinfection of facilities.
  • Develop mortuary procedures and protocols relating to post-mortems and general operation of the mortuary service.
  • Provide data entry support for receipt and removal of deceased individuals.
