We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of wind turbines across various wind farms in the Bridgend area.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Perform on-site performance analysis and implement action plans to optimize wind turbine availability.
2. Collaborate with technicians and back-office staff to deliver on-the-job training and support.
3. Provide on-site software and hardware updates, as well as technical support via phone and online platforms.
4. Create detailed reports on turbine or component performance.
5. Support special projects, including software and hardware upgrades, and provide on-site assistance as needed.
6. Parameter disable and alarm change handling when necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require significant experience as a technician in the wind industry, with a strong background in mechanical or electrical systems. Proven experience in troubleshooting, fault-finding, and repair of wind turbines is essential. Additionally, you will need to be proficient in using data analysis tools to identify trends and optimize performance. A strong understanding of MS Office, data-based systems, and workload management software is also required. A full UK/EU driving license is necessary for this role, as you will be required to travel regularly.
