Job Summary

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Coastal West Sussex Care Delivery Service team at The Bedale Centre in Bognor Regis.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services in Coastal West Sussex.

You will work closely with other services in the local area, including the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team, the Liaison team, and acute in-patient services.

This role also offers opportunities for professional development and special interest areas, aligning with the Trust's commitment to creating roles that provide a service and allow for personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with other services in the local area to provide clinical care for adults of working age.
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services in Coastal West Sussex.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in research, development, medical education, or special interests.

Person Specification

Essential

• MB BS degree.
• GMC registration.
• Entry on specialist register or within 6 months.
• AC approval or within 3 months.
• Excellent knowledge of the speciality.

Desirable

• Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit, service improvement.
• Good standing with the GMC.
