Job Description

At Beeby Anderson Recruitment, we are seeking a skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design solutions on complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design on projects from initial concept to final delivery.
  • Represent the business in front of clients and architects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Manage delivery of electrical design solutions in accordance with British Standards.
  • Produce detailed electrical designs and specifications for projects.
  • Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate electrical design solutions.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and design team members to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging electrical design technologies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years' UK experience in electrical design engineering within the building services industry.
  • Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
  • Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience in using electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
