Media Engagement Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Media Engagement Lead to join our European communications team. This is a full-time role with a salary of £52K PA, and you will be working in a hybrid manner, with at least one day in our Central London office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement media engagement strategies to enhance BRAC's visibility in strategic markets, particularly in the UK, Germany, and Scandinavia.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts across Europe, leveraging your expertise in media relations and communications.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive and effective media messaging, aligning with BRAC's values and goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of media engagement activities, providing insights for future strategy development.

About You:

  • You have a passion for International Development and Humanitarian work, with a strong understanding of the global development landscape.
  • You are a seasoned Media Manager with demonstrable experience in media relations, press, PR, or communications offices, handling proactive and reactive activities.
  • You have experience working with broadcast, print, and online media, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key media contacts.
  • You are comfortable briefing and preparing colleagues for media interviews, crisis communications, and reputation management.
  • You have experience working on projects with multidisciplinary, multicultural teams, and are willing to travel to European locations as the role demands.
  • Desirable to be a French or German speaker, but not essential.
