Penguin Recruitment Ltd is pleased to be supporting a leading Planning & Development Consultancy in their hire of an ambitious Town Planner to their Bristol based team. Their office in Bristol comprises specialists in Planning, Design, Transport, Infrastructure and Heritage, who work collaboratively to deliver results.

As a part of a leading consultancy in the UK, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of planning projects covering various sectors and dealing with a variety of clients, focusing on renewables, residential (including specialist housing for senior people), and commercial (employment and town centre) development.

The role includes preparing, submitting and monitoring planning applications. You will manage your own projects, with previous experience in researching, preparing, submitting planning applications, statements and appraisals or experience in dealing with pre-application enquiries, determining applications and preparing Officer Reports.

A key requirement is experience in planning practice (public or private). The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of approximately £60,000 per annum, regular reviews, contractual bonus scheme, 7% salary contribution towards their pension in a reputable scheme, generous annual leave including several gift days during the Christmas period, private health insurance scheme and life assurance for all employees.
