Engineering Project Manager - Development Programme

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join our Capital Projects delivery team as part of our newly created development programme. As an Engineering Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our long-term strategic goals while working towards becoming a fully qualified and experienced Engineering Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits
  • Reviewing construction designs
  • Producing contracts for design and construction projects
  • Carrying out assessment of commercial applications and variations
  • Providing progress updates and updating programmes
  • Producing and presenting business cases
  • Building an SCO portfolio, working to become a Competent Person capable of issuing Permits to Work
Requirements:
  • Engineering/construction degree (HND/HNC accepted) OR technical work experience in the engineering or construction industry
  • Technical knowledge in one (or more) of the following areas:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Control & Instrumentation Engineering
  • Cathodic Protection Engineering
  • Process Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Materials Engineering
Knowledge of HS&E and how it should be managed within a construction environmentExcellent communication, influencing and negotiating skillsWhat We Offer:
  • Starting salary of £28,000 per annum with yearly increments
  • 2-year fixed term contract with the option for a permanent role after successful completion of the development scheme
  • 40 hours per week
  • Up to 5% bonus (dependent upon achievement of set targets)
  • 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period)
  • SSP for first 7 calendar days then occupational sick pay
