Assembly Technician

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturer in the engineering industry. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for carrying out the first build, fitting, and final assembly of components in relation to special purpose machinery.
Main duties:
- Carry out the first build, fitting, and final assembly of components in relation to special purpose machinery.
- Familiarity with conveyors, elevators, bearing assemblies, screw conveyors, and valve assemblies.
- Ability to read and understand technical component and assembly drawings.
- Inspection of finished components and assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Work within our own and customers PPM system to ensure plant, equipment, systems, and infrastructures maintain continuous reliability of operation.
- Complete documentation/reports maintaining accurate records of all activities.
- Work closely with the project coordinator and site supervisor with all activities that may affect the expected output/delivery to the internal/external customer to keep downtime to a minimum.
- Understanding of all technical manuals and drawings for plant, equipment, systems, and infrastructures.
- Conduct your activities in a safe manner to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.
- Report any dangerous or potentially dangerous activities or occurrences.
- Promote and lead by example H&S culture, i.e., appropriate PPE to be worn at all times.
