Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our Electrical Workshop team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, overseeing project installations, and ensuring high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as a liaison between the workshop team and the engineering department, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  2. Work closely with various business departments to contribute to time planning for projects and ensure timely completion.
  3. Oversee the quality of workmanship and support the development of apprentices' skills, promoting a culture of excellence within the workshop.
  4. Manage daily duties within the workshop and Stores area, maintaining an organized and efficient environment.
  5. Assist in maintaining our quality system processes, adhering to and enhancing them as necessary.
  6. Oversee the installation of project equipment on-site and GRP substations within the workshop, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  7. Manage the installation of electrical containment, interpreting and following technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
  8. Lead daily team meetings, manage project allocation and progress, and drive team performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., Level 3 qualification in a relevant field).
  2. BTec, City and Guilds, or recognized apprenticeship/training in electrical work.
  3. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics.
  4. Proficient in general IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  5. Previous experience as a Team Leader, preferably within the electrical industry.
  6. SAP knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (Early finish Friday)
