We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Plumbing Lecturer to join our team at South Hampshire College Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, heating, and ventilation, with a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach on courses and develop an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process.
  • Assist in the development of teaching and learning materials, preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and maintaining records to monitor learner progression, achievement, and attendance.
  • Provide guidance for learners enabling them to develop knowledge, understanding, and skills.
  • Develop and implement timely, safe, consistent, and relevant assessment plans and resources that are linked to initial and current assessments.

Requirements:

  • Utilize technical skills and experience to teach students on programs at level 1, 2, and 3 through theory and practical knowledge.
  • Teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience with apprentices, part-time or full-time learners.
  • A passion for imparting knowledge and skills to create better futures for our students.
  • Well-organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree and/or appropriate level professional qualifications.
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant area of expertise.
  • Commitment to achieving teaching qualifications.
  • Assessor and Moderator/IQA Award is desirable.
