English Language Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Harlow. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of teaching English at secondary school level, including A-Level (Key Stage 5). They will possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. You will foster students' literacy, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature, while preparing them for exams and supporting them to achieve their academic goals.
Our school values collaboration and teamwork, and we are looking for someone who is able to work closely with a supportive team of educators committed to student success. You will also participate in extracurricular activities, such as writing clubs and drama productions.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level, including A-Level (Key Stage 5)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
- Ability to engage, motivate, and challenge students of varying abilities
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (or willingness to obtain one)
The salary for this role is £140 - £240 per day, depending on experience.
