Job Title: Sample Registration Technician

At Eurofins UK Environment Testing, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sample Registration Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient registration of water samples for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately register water samples in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Ensure the laboratory operates efficiently by maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues.
  • Comply with ISO17025 and Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on Sample Registration Guide and customer contact details.
  • Communicate with customers regarding missing samples, unclear testing instructions, and samples testing outside stability.
  • Perform tasks within the laboratory in accordance with your level of training.
  • Handle samples in accordance with documented procedures, including temperature control, storage, and maintenance of sample integrity.
  • Maintain accurate records as detailed in quality procedures.
  • Work with the Team Leader and Laboratory Manager to achieve daily targets and ensure client turnaround time is met.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and report any anomalies or concerns to your line leader.
  • Ensure client contact is conducted in a professional manner and any client queries are dealt with or notified to your line leader.
  • Uphold and maintain client and company confidentiality.
  • Receive customer communications, perform actions, delegate, or escalate to Seniors as appropriate.
  • Comply with Health and Safety procedures and maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Maintain laboratory fittings and equipment as directed.
Requirements:
  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths, English, Chemistry, or Biology, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good laboratory skills and practices.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a driven outlook.
