Job Title: Revit Modeler Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Revit Modeler to join our team at McGee, a renowned specialist engineering contractor based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create intricate temporary and enabling works models for existing and proposed structures using Revit.
  2. Ensure seamless coordination of design and task team models, collaborating closely with site and Construction Engineering team engineers for fully coordinated solutions.
  3. Generate drawings and models for site teams to use in procurement and construction.
  4. Create models for clash detection.
  5. Develop models suitable for animation, bid/tender responses, cost analysis, and planning (4D+5D).
  6. Populate models with Twinmotion's assets, including textures, lighting, vegetation, people, and vehicles to create realistic scenes.
  7. Develop animated walkthroughs and flythroughs to showcase designs in a dynamic and interactive way.
  8. Create high-quality visualizations and adjust lighting, weather, and time-of-day settings to enhance the environment.
  9. Participate in design coordination meetings, document changes, and potential issues.
  10. Provide models to the Carbon team with volumes and carbon values, assisting key project stakeholders in carbon-related decisions.
  11. Maintain 3D as-built models for project handover and track newly installed buried services.
  12. Suggest innovations and adaptations to CET and McGee's methods of working.
  13. Support the team to deliver, manage performance, and development, and assist in recruitment.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Revit, with experience creating Revit families and managing templates.
  • Experience with Twinmotion is essential. Experience in other software such as Blender, 3DS Max, Unreal Engine would be advantageous.
  • Strong ability to coordinate models and work with AutoCAD, IFC, and Point Clouds.
  • Knowledge of structural systems, load paths, and construction sequences.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with video and image editing software such as Adobe suite products or similar.
