Oral Surgery Specialist

The successful candidate will participate in daytime emergency cover and provision of acute surgical procedures as required, in conjunction with other senior clinicians.
They will also participate in the minor oral surgery service under local anaesthesia, and conscious sedation, including daytime emergency cover.
Additionally, the appointee will be expected to engage in their own continuing professional development and to provide continuing dental education for other staff.
They will liaise with colleagues in Oral Surgery as well as other specialties at LUDH and the Trust.
Person Specification- Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC)
- Inclusion in the GDC Specialist List in Oral Surgery or within 6 months of achieving Completion of Specialist Training (CCST)
- Membership in Oral Surgery or equivalent
- Experience of teaching.
- Possession of a certificate of accreditation for CCST in Oral Surgery or within 6 months of CCST
- Successful completion of a SAC approved 3 year training programme in Oral Surgery
- Experience in delivering care under conscious sedation and general anaesthesia.
- Experience of teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level.
