Financial Controls Specialist

At BOC Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controls Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Controls team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our controls environment within the business.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Financial Controls team and the Risk & Controls Manager in maintaining the integrity of the controls environment within the business.
- Lead our Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance Programme, working with internal and external stakeholders, testing, reporting, and driving improvements to meet the programme requirements.
- Support reviews to make improvement recommendations and see them through to sustainable implementation.
- Conduct investigations and reporting on instances of control failure, developing process improvements and controls to limit future instances or impact.
- Support the wider team on other elements of financial control and have the opportunity to 'cross-skill' across different areas of the team in order to provide cover and support where required.
- Previous controls, internal audit, and SOX experience.
- A finance qualification such as AAT, with ACCA or CIMA being an advantage for this role.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements with a mindset of problem-solving to make things work the best possible way.
- Comfortable working to strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of an organisation.
- Work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being a safe and inclusive workplace.
