About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at THE RECRUITMENT FIX LIMITED. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for building specialized machinery, carrying out fitting and assembly, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build specialized machinery within established build times
  • Carry out fitting and assembly tasks
  • Perform tests and work from technical drawings
  • Servicing and repairing clients' equipment, including heavy plant machinery and general mechanical work
Requirements
  • Relevant mechanical fitting experience
  • Basic metalwork functions, including drilling, tapping, and machining
  • Ability to work to a high level of quality
  • Good attendance record and excellent time-keeping
  • Able to work in a safe manner in line with the company's Health & Safety policies
  • Competent in reading engineering drawings
Desirable Skills
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
  • Understanding/knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Able to work on own initiative and prioritize tasks on a daily basis
  • Comfortable working within a team and independently managing your own time
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Well-organized and with attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure, flexible to the needs of the business, and self-motivated
