We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join our Private Client Tax department in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, including partnerships and high net worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with varied sources of income, including earned and investment income.
- Tax Compliance and Advisory: Deal with routine tax compliance and ad-hoc advisory work on your own client portfolio, as well as oversee and review the work of junior team members.
- Technical Expertise: Provide tax technical information to non-experts and advise on a wide range of tax issues, including capital gains tax, Self-Assessment, and report writing.
- Business Development: Proactively approach clients and contacts with ideas and possible opportunities, and demonstrate commercial judgement and proactivity in improving the firm's efficiency and profitability.
- Experience: Proven experience in private client tax, including managing a portfolio of clients and dealing with complex tax issues.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of UK tax residence and domicile rules, international tax principles, and tax treaties.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
