Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Molecular Biologist to join our team at the Mary Lyon Centre, MRC Harwell. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing molecular biology techniques to support our research programs.

About the Role:

As a Senior Molecular Biologist, you will design and conduct experiments, analyse data, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders. You will be based within established laboratories with significant genome engineering expertise and will manage a team of several graduate-level research assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments to support research programs
  • Analyse data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage a team of graduate-level research assistants
  • Review data for the validation of new alleles and analyse production data to improve lab processes

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for scientific discovery and innovation. You will have a PhD or equivalent in Biological Sciences or a related field and research experience involving the use of molecular biology. You will also have a strong background in molecular biology techniques, including PCR and Sanger sequencing analysis, and experience with gene-editing techniques, such as CRISPR/Cas9.
