About the Role

Cumbria Health is seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team as an Administration and Coding Clerk. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and award-winning organisation that prioritises patient care and staff satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to our healthcare teams, including data input, recall, and coding of clinical correspondence.
  • Process patient referrals using the electronic referral service (ERS) to support Cumbria Health practices.
  • Scan and code all incoming discharge letters and patient-related post into the patient's medical record and workflow.
  • Assist with medical records tasks sent by the wider practice team.
  • Help process and direct online patient requests received via the Digital Assessment Service (DAS).

Requirements

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience of dealing with the public and providing excellent customer service.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and NHS computer systems.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and use your own initiative.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
