Biogen, the UK’s leader in anaerobic digestion (AD), seeks an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join its team.

About Biogen

Biogen operates a network of 19 AD plants across England, Scotland, and Wales, providing cost-effective, low-carbon solutions for managing food and organic waste. Its facilities transform food waste into renewable energy and nutrient-rich biofertiliser, contributing to a cleaner environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering reliance on fossil fuels.

The Role

This is a full-time position that involves supporting the Site Manager with the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System. You will be responsible for planned downtime of key equipment for safe and cost-effective overhauls.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must hold a qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and have experience from a related process industry. Knowledge of PLC controls, electronics, materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights, and first aid is also essential. Familiarity with environmental, safety, and quality management systems is desirable.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experience, plus an allowance, overtime, and bonus opportunities. You will also receive 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 4% employer pension, and x4 life assurance.
