Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer - Project Lead

Our client, a forward-thinking consultancy specializing in Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineering, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead their team of Engineers and Technicians. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in assessment and design, including inspections, calculations, and analysis of existing and new-build structures.



The Role:


  • Leading and managing a team of Engineers and Technicians, including mentoring, coaching, and training.
  • Taking full ownership of assigned projects across building schemes.
  • Conducting inspections, site surveys, and structural assessments, and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Overseeing the design of civil and structural schemes, checking designs prepared by others, and performing detailed calculations manually and via computer models.
  • Preparing and managing project programs, workload, and resources in collaboration with directors.
  • Collaborating with clients to define project scope and ensure deliverables.


What We Offer:


  • A salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days per year.

This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours per week, with core working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.



Requirements:


  • A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Strong technical proficiency in assessment and design, including inspections, calculations, and analysis of existing and new-build structures.
  • Substantial project management experience across buildings, bridges, and temporary works, with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Experience within the UK industry, preferably with Eurocode and Highway standards.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • A full UK driving license and own transport.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK with a high standard of written English.
