Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to support the growth and development of our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of onsite project requirements, from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Lead and grow a team of skilled Project/Design Engineers to ensure effective project execution on site.
- Design and Development: Survey site conditions, produce accurate drawings of design solutions, and oversee manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
- Technical Support: Assist the technical office with construction drawings and manage and update drawings of current plants and processes.
- Problem-Solving: Identify solutions to plant issues to improve equipment/process safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Project Delivery: Support the full project lifecycle from design to project delivery, training, and handover.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, services providers, site-based/group engineering team, and production team.
- Facilitation: Chair and facilitate meetings to address site-related project issues.
- General Duties: Assist with general duties associated with a busy expanding production site.
- Safety and Health: Contribute towards site SHE objectives.
- Education: Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D package, experience with process pipework, and strong management of drawing revisions and issues.
- Experience: Proven experience of leading and growing a successful Project Engineering Department, experience managing multiple projects across production/manufacturing sites, and flexibility and adaptability.
- Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, driven to succeed, and very strong collaborative skills.
