About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our team at Tewv Brits, working in collaboration with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to provide an effective service. As a Higher Assistant Psychologist, you will work under the supervision of the Clinical Lead (Principal Applied Psychologist) and according to professional practice guidelines as directed by the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC).

The main focus of this role will be to provide assessment and subsequent intervention for up to 12 sessions, primarily using cognitive behaviour therapy-based models to address primary care mental health needs such as anxiety and depression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group CBT sessions to clients with mental ill health or learning disabilities
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with MDT members to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in regular supervision forums and Trust-led continuing professional development initiatives

Requirements
  • Degree in Psychology
  • Eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Numeracy, Literacy, and ITQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Further postgraduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice, youth work, work with offenders, and/or research design and analysis
