Project Engineer - Mechanical Engineering

A world-leading manufacturer part of a multi-billion-dollar corporation is now seeking a Project Engineer to expand its engineering resource and support the organization's continued growth.

This is a hands-on role working with the engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure project handover is completed smoothly, meeting the agreed timeline.

Ideally, you'll have apprentice training or a degree/master's calibre in engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in an NPD/machine tool room environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direction, guidance, and engineering expertise to team members
  • Reviewing work of designers, engineers, and other project team members
  • Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within the agreed budget and guidelines
  • Communicating technical details, ideas, and concepts to ensure project goals are completed on time

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Driving design of products meeting market guidelines, meeting cost and reliability targets, and high volume
  • Identifying project risks and implementing risk reduction plans
  • Analysing, evaluating, and executing alternatives to meet the best specification of design into mass production
  • Technical accountability for project execution, integration of complex processes, and standards
