Croda is seeking a highly skilled Fermentation Scientist to join our Biotechnology R&T Group at the Daresbury Science Park. As a key member of our Fermentation Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and scale-up of our rapidly expanding Biotechnology pipeline.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and scale upstream microbial processes from laboratory and/or pilot plant scale in the food, pharma, or industrial biotechnology sectors.
- Work closely with our internal production team(s) and external toll partners to undertake efficient technology transfer to establish processes at an industrial scale.
- Collaborate with our commercial, IP, regulatory, application, and sales and marketing teams to ensure processes are efficiently developed and established into commercial-scale manufacture.
- Master or higher degree in microbiology, biotechnology, or chemical engineering discipline.
- Experience in developing scalable microbial cell culture processes in a laboratory, pilot plant, and/or production environment.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
