Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to assist the Nursery Manager in the efficient management of the nurseries and ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Mentor and guide staff to support an environment for child-led, play-based learning.
  • Undertake an active role in the day to day care and education of the children and support nursery practitioners in completing observations, assessments and planning for children's progress.
  • Support nursery practitioners in working in partnership with parents/carers in supporting their children's development.
  • Take charge of the day to day operations of the Nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager/Early Years Manager.

Requirements:

  • NNEB or BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing or NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent.
  • Level 2 minimum in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).
  • An Early Years Professional Status would be desirable.
