About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Defence and Security team at Mind Foundry. As a key member of our Engineering and Machine Learning department, you will be responsible for designing and developing AI/ML solutions for our clients in the defence and security sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our team of Machine Learning Engineers, Research Scientists, and Product Managers to develop cutting-edge AI/ML solutions.
  • Maintain and develop a good working knowledge of state-of-the-art ML methods, software tools, and implementation methods.
  • Work closely with platform engineers to provide ideas and advice on ML techniques.
  • Evaluate scientific concepts for viability of implementation.
  • Write maintainable production code and promote best practices for code quality in a scientific codebase.
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Deliver training to customers on core ML concepts and Mind Foundry products and solutions.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in a scientific discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in writing and maintaining code in a commercial environment.
  • Fluent in Python, ideally in a scientific or industrial context.
  • Experience of working with ML or statistical methods.
  • Champion of scientific integrity practices in terms of experimental rigour and validation.
  • Ability to work with state-of-the-art ML libraries to deliver powerful results quickly.
  • Eager to learn and have a collaborative approach.
