Job Summary:

Sheridan Maine Careers is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for producing and reviewing financial statements, managing the audit process, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and SOX controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Produce and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external and internal auditors, managing the audit process and resolving audit queries.
  • Internal Controls: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and SOX controls, ensuring the company's financial reporting is accurate and reliable.
  • Technical Papers: Produce technical papers and reports to support business decisions and drive growth.
  • Financial Analysis: Work with the finance team to ensure correct accounting treatments and provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in ad hoc project work and analysis, and support and cover for the Head of Reporting as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrate experience in a Financial Reporting or Audit Manager role, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess strong technical reporting knowledge, including IFRS.
  • Qualifications: Be a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with a number of years of post-qualified experience in industry or practice.
