Job Summary

The Aurora Group is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Meldreth and Orchard Manor. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individualized communication and dysphagia support to our specialist population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize a caseload of students with complex communication and swallowing needs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy programs
  • Provide advice on suitability and therapy needs of prospective students
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop Individual Education Plans
  • Deliver speech and language interventions to individuals, small groups, or within the classroom
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and monitor eating and drinking support practice
  • Promote Total Communication practice across the service
  • Supervise and line manage speech and language therapy assistants

Requirements

  • Speech and Language Therapy degree at graduate or masters level
  • Certificate to practise Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Post-graduate dysphagia training and competencies at Level C of RCSLT Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Competency Framework
