We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Carnoustie Golf Links, as part of the Rookery Restaurant. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Assist the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring a consistent and high-quality food offering is provided to all visitors to The Rookery restaurant.
• Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence, taking charge of the kitchen and ensuring seamless operation.
• Develop and implement menu ideas, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure alignment with the restaurant's culinary vision.
• Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and health and safety legislation, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

• Exceptional cooking skills, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and management.
• Relevant industry experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
