Premier Work Support is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Line Operative to support our client's food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing, packaging, and quality control of food produce on the production line.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in the processing and packaging of food produce, ensuring they are in good working order and meet food safety standards.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control checks to ensure food products meet company and regulatory standards, identifying any defects or discrepancies and reporting them to the Production Supervisor.
- Production Support: Load and unload raw materials and finished products onto and off the production line, ensuring materials are organised and available for production needs.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes and perform routine checks to identify any issues or malfunctions, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record production data and maintain logs as required, ensuring records are up to date and compliant with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Food Production Knowledge: Basic understanding of food production processes and machinery, with the ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime as needed, and to adapt to changing production demands.
- Compliance: Compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including wearing appropriate protective clothing and equipment, and ability to supply a full 5-year work/education history.
