About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Property Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our property departments in Benfleet and Hockley. Our client is a leading multi-office practice specializing in property, and due to continued growth, they are now recruiting for experienced professionals to support their property teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to fee earners in the property department
  • Take instructions from clients and prepare contract packs for each plot sale
  • Conduct searches and progress matters to ensure a speedy exchange
  • Raise client enquiries with solicitors for developers
  • Carry out electronic ID checks, OS2, and Bankruptcy searches
  • Issue contracts and deal with related sale or part exchange enquiries
  • Support in exchanging contracts and completion transactions
Requirements
  • At least 1 year's residential property experience gained within a reputable law firm
  • Knowledge of conveyancing from start to finish, with new build experience preferred
  • Strong IT skills, experience with case management systems
  • Able to work to deadlines and communicate effectively with developers, solicitors, lenders, and clients
