We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic and expanding London studio at Bjarke Ingels Group. As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide effective and proactive legal support to our Managing Director and Director of Business Development. You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts, critically reviewing and maintaining business insurances, leading contract negotiations, and providing ongoing internal support for the management of projects throughout the contract lifecycle.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate contracts with clients, sub-consultants, and vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Insurance Management: Critically review and maintain business insurances, advising on optimum insurance solutions at local and global levels.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations from instruction to signature, liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, and other consultants.
  • Legal Support: Provide ongoing internal support for the management of projects throughout the contract lifecycle, explaining contract terms and obligations, and advising on legal considerations.


Requirements:

  • 6 years PQE in a similar position within the architectural, construction, or engineering industry.
  • Approachable team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and manage multiple local and global stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and track record in closing and delivering projects successfully and timely.
