Job Opportunity: SEND Teacher

Your new school is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join their team. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach SEND pupils in a full-class teaching position, including planning, preparing resources, marking, and carrying out assessments.
  • Support pupils with SEND, working alongside the SENDCO to develop and implement Individual Education Plans.
  • Write EHCPs and action plans, and attend staff meetings to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Work with SEND Teaching Assistants to deploy and support their work in the classroom.
Requirements:
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Have excellent knowledge of SEND provision, with previous experience as a SEND Teacher preferred but not required.
  • Have previous experience working in a similar role, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Be able to work in partnership with class TA and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £34,500-£55,000 per annum, based on working 5 days a week.
  • The option of PAYE or Umbrella.
  • Holiday Pay, for PAYE candidates, accrued at 14.36% of their day rate.

  • Free safeguarding Level 1, FGM and Prevent training.
  • A Refer a Friend bonus scheme of £350.
